The consequences of the the
earthquakes and typhoons that struck at the end of September
2009 resemble the
Asian
Tsunami of 2004.
Tens of thousands of people have been killed or injured but
millions also live in the areas immediately affected where
homes have been destroyed, crops swept away and vital services
have been wiped out.
The current Armed Forces
deployment in
Afghanistan is resulting in a large number of wounded
with untold effects on young lives. Help for Heroes is raising
money to help support our wounded and their families.
