Pathfinders for International
Templars and Pilgrims
We welcome groups or
individuals to visit Scotland and we can offer advice and
assistance in planning your stay. This will enable you to make
the most of your visit and it will avoid wasteful hours trying
to find where to go and how to get there.
If you are an established Templar Group, special events such as
a Conclave and a Dinner Night in a Scottish castle can be
arranged. Likewise, your party can visit Templar sites, Castles,
Historical sites and places of interest. We can help to plan
your itinerary or you may wish to decide your own with the use
of a Guide.
We can identify suitable accommodation for you stay, but you
must make the reservations. Likewise, the responsibility for
travel to and from Scotland will be yours alone. Advice
regarding transportation whilst in Scotland is available, either
by coach hire for large parties or mini-buses for a smaller
group, in which case one of our drivers may be able to help.
The Commandery of Jacques de Molay 1314, is not in a position to
bear any financial cost towards your visit and it must be
clearly understood that your venture must be entirely self
supporting.
At present our resources are limited and we can only manage to
host a certain number of groups spread over the year. To get the
most out of your trip it will be necessary to make contact and
start planning six months before the event. If your group wishes
to visit, your first point of contact regarding arrangements is
our International Legate, Chevalier Iain Laird MA FSA Scot KOTpl,
e-mail, who will appoint
a Liaison Officer to deal with your enquiry.
